Murfreesboro ,TN :3 injured in fiery crash on I-24 in Murfreesboro on Wednesday night ,June 17th 2015

Three people are in the hospital after a semi collided with a pickup truck on Interstate 24 on Wednesday night.

The crash happened in the westbound lanes between mile marker 76 and 80 around 10:30 p.m.

The pickup truck burst into flames on impact, throwing the driver from the truck.

He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with burns on his head, face, arms and legs. There is no word on his condition.

The driver of the semi and his passenger were also taken to Saint Thomas Rutherford. They are expected to be OK.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
