VERONA, NY : A Marcy man was taken to the hospital after a two-car crash on Friday, October, 27th 2017

A Marcy man was taken to the hospital Friday after a two-car crash at the intersection of state routes 31 and 46 in Verona, state police said.

Randall Butters, 60, of Rome was eastbound on Route 31 at about 1:45 p.m. Friday when he failed to yield the right of way while attempting to turn left onto Route 46 and collided with another vehicle driven by 64-year-old Donald Proulx of Marcy, police said.

Proulx was taken to the St. Elizabeth Campus of Mohawk Valley Health System to be treated for head pain, police said.

Butters was ticketed for failure to yield and will appear in Verona Town Court on Nov. 14.
