Shelton, CT : Pedestrian killed after being struck near hiking trails on Friday, December 9, 2016
Police say a Connecticut man was killed after being struck by a car near an entrance to hiking trails in Shelton.
The Shelton Police Department said Tuesday that 48-year-old Ronald Richard, of Shelton, was struck Friday by a car being driven by Christopher Goldspink, of Shelton. Police responding to the scene found Richard lying in the roadway near Shelton Avenue. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Police say Goldspink was driving south on Meadow Street and hit Richard as he was crossing the street. Goldspink has not been charged.
The police department is investigating the accident.
