Birmingham, MI : Car loses control, crashes into garage in Birmingham on Wednesday, April 22, 2015

An out-of-control car crashed through a garage in Birmingham. Luckily, no one was seriously hurt.

The crash occurred in the 400 block of Merritt Lane in Birmingham before 7 p.m. Wednesday.

It appears as though the car lost control, drove over the island in the middle of the cul-de-sac and went up the driveway.

Two homes just feet from each other narrowly missed being hit.

A car was parked inside the garage with the garage door closed.

Neighbors say the car hit another vehicle, went over the embankment and up the driveway into the garage.

Birmingham firefighters and police worked to stabilize the garage.

The homeowners car was wheeled out with minimal damage considering the structure had literally crashed on top of it.

The woman driving the car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
