Lincoln, NE : 2 severely injured in head-on crash on eastbound I-80 between Sutherland and Hershey on Thursday, 4th July 2019

A pickup truck going the wrong way on Interstate 80 ran into a semitrailer truck Thursday morning, severely injuring two people.

The head-on crash happened about 8 a.m. on eastbound I-80 between Sutherland and Hershey. The pickup driver and a passenger were in critical condition, according to the Nebraska State Patrol.

A patrol representative said neither the driver nor the passenger was wearing a seat belt and alcohol was involved.The Ford F-250 pickup was pulling a horse trailer.Traffic was blocked for some time after the crash.
