TUCSON, AZ : Crash involving Sahuarita school bus closes Arivaca Road Deputies on Thursday, 21st August 2024

Pima County Sheriff’s Department deputies are responding to a traffic collision on Arivaca Road, MP 8.

PCSD says both eastbound and westbound lanes are closed. Drivers are advised to use alternative routes.

According to Sahuarita officials, at 6:47 a.m. today, Bus Route 11, which serves Sahuarita High School, was involved in an accident near Moyza Ranch Road and West Arivaca Road.

No students were on board at the time.

PCSD reports that the crash involved a car and a school bus. The only individuals in the accident were the two drivers. The driver of the car, a 31-year-old man, sustained life-threatening injuries.
