WEST PETERSBURG, VA : 1 killed, 7 hurt in highway crash on Interstate 85 in Dinwiddie County on Sunday, 8th July 2018

An 80-year-old New Jersey woman has died and seven others have been injured in a Virginia highway crash that police attribute to drunken driving.

Virginia State Police say the two-vehicle crash occurred Sunday at 4:30 a.m. on Interstate 85 in Dinwiddie County.

Police say 29-year-old Clint Vigil of Richmond veered into the left lane and struck a car driven by 48-year-old James Allen of Westville, New Jersey.

Allen's car hit jersey wall. Vigil's car overturned.
