Fairfax, VA : 31-year-old Mississippi man injured in motorcycle crash on U.S. 29 near the Route 299 South exit Wednesday, July 29, 2015
A 31-year-old Mississippi man was airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital in Northern Virginia after he crashed into a guardrail on U.S. 29 Wednesday afternoon.
Virginia State Police spokesman Sgt. Les Tyler said Clayton Dominic Johnson, of Carthage, Mississippi, was southbound on U.S. 29 when the 1996 Nissan he was driving hydroplaned just before the Route 299 South exit.
According to scanner chatter, the guardrail impaled the vehicle.
VSP trooper I.R. Ewing responded to the wreck and is handling this investigation.
Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office deputies, Culpeper Town Police officers and local fire and rescue also assisted with this crash.
Tyler added that the vehicle is registered to a person in Waynesboro.
