Oklahoma City, OK : Perry man dies in Payne County wreck on Sunday, 11th September 2016

A Perry man died Sunday in a fiery Payne County wreck, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported Monday.

Jonathan Devilbiss, 24, died at the scene of the wreck on U.S. 177 just south of Yost Road, 1.5 miles north of Stillwater.

The accident occurred at about 2:40 a.m. Sunday, the patrol said.

Devilbiss was driving north when he went off the roadway and the pickup hit a bridge pier.

The pickup then burst into flames, the patrol said.

Devilbiss was not wearing a seat belt, trooper said.
