TAMPA, FL : Tampa 19-year-old killed in single-car crash on I-275 just north of E Fowler Avenue on Monday, 23rd December, 2019

A 19-year-old man was killed Monday night after he lost control of his car and was thrown from the vehicle on northbound Interstate 275, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Yury Raul Sarria Jr. died of his injuries at the scene, troopers said.

The crash took place just before 10 p.m. on I-275 just north of E Fowler Avenue.

The 1995 Ford Mustang entered the shoulder of north I-275, struck the barrier wall and overturned. The driver was not wearing his seatbelt and was thrown from the Mustang, according to the Highway Patrol. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
