CENTRAL, LA : 71-year-old woman killed after suspected impaired driver crashed into her vehicle head-on on Friday, 2nd February 2024

A 71-year-old woman was killed after a suspected impaired driver crashed into her vehicle head-on late Friday morning, Feb. 2.

The Central Police Department said the crash happened on Hooper Road, just east of Joor Road, around 11:45 a.m. Friday.

Police said one vehicle was traveling eastbound on Hooper Road when, for unknown reasons, it crossed the divided median and entered the opposite lane. There, it crashed into 71-year-old Lucille Holwager’s vehicle head-on.
