A 35-year-old motorcyclist died after failing to negotiate a curve on Ocean Boulevard on Siesta Key.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol: Shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday, Cassidy Manchester of Bradenton drove a 2004 Suzuki north on Ocean Boulevard approaching Ocean Place. He drifted off the roadway and struck small shrubs and a wall. He was pronounced dead at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Troopers reported that Manchester wore a helmet.
