Orange County, FL : Dorthy Anderson, 79, died in a fatal two-vehicle crash at Kelly Park Road and Eastway Drive on Sunday, April 24, 2016

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash Sunday at Kelly Park Road and Eastway Drive.

The FHP said Dorthy Anderson, 79, of Apopka, was driving her Buick Century west on Kelly Park Road in front of an Acura, driven by Christian Echeverri, 34. Troopers say Echeverri failed to slow down and struck the back of the Buick.

Anderson was taken to Florida Hospital Apopka, where she died, the FHP said.

A 9-year-old boy who was in the car with Anderson suffered minor injuries, according to troopers.

Echeverri and a 23-year-old passenger, Shemme Lee, suffered minor injuries.

The FHP said the crash remains under investigation. Charges are pending.
