WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, OH : 16-year-old dies after buggy crash in Ashtabula County on Sunday, 24th January 2021

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a buggy.

The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. on U.S. 322 near Cox Road.

According to troopers, a man driving a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan was driving eastbound on U.S. 322.

An Amish buggy driven by 16-year-old Norman Detweiler was also traveling eastbound when it was struck from behind by the Dodge.

Detweiler was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Dodge was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities do not believe alcohol or drugs were involved in the crash.
