AUBURN, WA : 2 people seriously injured after head-on crash on SR 18 in Auburn on Thursday, 11th March 2021

Two people were seriously injured in a head-on crash on State Route 18 in Auburn early Thursday morning.

The crash was reported just before 3 a.m. on westbound SR 18 west of 304th Street.

According to Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson, a driver was reportedly traveling on the wrong side of the highway and struck another vehicle head-on.

One person was in each vehicle. Both occupants were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, Johnson said.

All westbound lanes were closed from SR 516 to Auburn Black Diamond Road. Westbound SR 18 opened back up around 6:30 a.m.
