Clifton Park, NY : Truck crash and brushfire close northbound I-87 near Albany on Wednesday, April 15, 2015

New York authorities say a tractor-trailer rollover and fire has closed part of a major highway in an Albany suburb ahead of the evening commute.

State police say the accident on the Adirondack Northway happened just before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and all three northbound lanes are closed at Exit 10 in the town of Clifton Park.

Trooper Mark Cepiel says details about any injuries or other vehicles involved weren't initially available.

State transportation department spokeswoman Carol Breen says the crash touched off a brushfire and major traffic delays are expected into the evening.

Vehicles are being diverted off I-87 at Exit 9.
