BRENTWOOD, CA : Three hospitalized after head-on crash in Brentwood on Monday, 7th May 2018

Three people were hospitalized Monday night in a head-on crash between two vehicles on a rural road, a fire official said.

Emergency personnel airlifted one of the three to the trauma center at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. That person had major injuries and needed to be cut free of the wreckage with hydraulic tools, Battalion Chief Jake Gonzalez of the East Contra Costa County Fire Protection District said.

The two other injured people had moderate injuries, Gonzalez said.

The two cars collided around 8:50 p.m. on Brentwood Boulevard, just east of Sellers Avenue. Details of crash were not available immediately, but it blocked the eastbound direction of the boulevard.
