MIDDLETOWN, CT : A driver lost control of car causing serious head-on collision police said on Tuesday, 26th December 2023

Police received a report of a head-on-collision on Washington Street in the area of Sagamore Hills Apartments.

Around 10:30 a.m. this morning, drivers of a grey 2004 Mazda 3 and a black 2012 Chevrolet Traverse crashed.

Both vehicles sustained heavy front-end damage and airbag deployment. Fire crews were able to remove the Mazda driver from his car without incident.

He was rushed to Hartford Hospital for a suspected broken leg but reported to be in stable condition.
