Gila Bend, AZ : Prison transport bus hits overturned semitruck on I-8 Monday August 10th 2015

One lane is open in each direction of Interstate 8 east of Gila Bend following an overnight crash involving a prison transport bus and a semitruck.
A Department of Corrections bus with 50 inmates on board hit a commercial vehicle that had rolled over and was blocking the westbound lanes, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The bus struck the middle of the trailer shortly after 1 a.m. and ended up in the median. The semitruck was carrying liquid herbicide.
The bus, which looks like a school bus, was being used to transport the inmates to another prison.
The bus driver and two inmates were seriously injured and were flown from the scene. Ten other inmates were transported to different facilities for medial treatment.
All inmates are accounted for, officials said.
The inmates assisted DPS with directing traffic and helping those who were injured.
The cause of the semitruck rollover is under investigation.
Westbound I-8 was closed at the state Route 84 interchange at mile 151. One lane was reopened at about 8 a.m.
