Knoxville, TN : Motorist killed and her passenger injured in vehicle crash on Friday October 23 2015

A motorist was killed and her male passenger injured Friday afternoon when their vehicle collided with another driver at an East Knoxville intersection.Police were called to the scene about 4:06 p.m.
According to the Knoxville Police Department, a Toyota Highlander was on Chilhowee Drive when it collided with a Chevrolet Blazer that was eastbound on Asheville Highway. The Blazer ran a red light, according to police.
The Blazer rolled over a Toyota Venza that was sitting at the red light in the westbound lanes.
Annette Michelle Parks, 40, of Mascot, Tennessee was ejected from the Blazer and died at the scene. The passenger James Eugene Parks, Jr. suffered several injuries and was taken to University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment.
Linda Saylor, the driver of the Venza, also was taken UT Medical Center. Gloria Beal, the driver of the Highlander, was uninjured.
