Accord, NY : 16 people was injured on schoolbusand motorcycle crash on Monday September 29th 2014
State police say more than a dozen members of two high school field hockey teams suffered minor injuries when their bus collided with a motorcycle on a Hudson Valley road.
Troopers say a 53-year-old Stone Ridge man was slowing down his motorcycle in traffic on Route 209 Monday afternoon when he was rear-ended by a school bus in the Ulster County hamlet of Accord, 65 miles south of Albany.
The bus had 37 people on board, including 34 students from the Pine Bush High School girls' varsity and junior varsity field hockey teams. Troopers say 16 of the passengers reported minor injuries. All of the bus occupants were evaluated either at the scene or at Ellenville Hospital.
