OPELIKA, AL : Man charged for fatal wreck that killed woman on Monday, October, 30th 2017

Authorities say an Alabama man has been charged in connection with a crash that killed a woman.

Opelika police said in a news release that 38-year-old Travis C. Ford was taken into custody on Monday afternoon and charged with murder in the death of 31-year-old April Billingsley.

News outlets report that authorities say the victim died in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Andrews Road and North Park Drive on Sept. 13.

Lee County Coroner Bill Harris pronounced Billingsley dead at the scene. It's unclear if Ford has a lawyer.
