Derry ,NH : Driver charged with drunken driving after crash kills passenger in other car on Saturday afternoon ,August 22 2015
A crash in Derry, New Hampshire, has left one person dead and another charged with drunken driving.
Police say 47-year-old Craig Vanier was driving on Route 102 Saturday afternoon when his car crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a minivan, pushing it into a third vehicle. The driver of the minivan was seriously injured, and her passenger — 65-year-old John McMahon of Windham — was killed. The driver of the third vehicle also was injured.
Vanier, who was not hurt, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence. A phone listing for him was not available Sunday, and it was unclear whether he has an attorney.
