Kent,CT : Salisbury woman, 22, dies in Kent crash on May, Friday 4th 2018

A head-on collision on Friday night left a 22-year-old Salisbury woman dead, and three other people with serious injuries.
Just after 7 p.m. Friday, a Lincoln Navigator and a GMC Terrain were heading in opposite directions on Skiff Mountain Road. At the crest of a hill near the road’s intersection with Fuller Mountain Road, the two SUVs collided, state police said.
Deanna Silvernail was sitting in the back seat of the Terrain, according to a state police report. When the two cars collided, she was thrown from the SUV and fell down a steep embankment, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Silvernail, who lived in the Lakeville section of Salisbury, graduated from the agricultural science program at Housatonic Valley Regional High School in Falls Village in 2014, according to her Facebook page. She had been working at a Patco service station in Lakeville.
Shelby Roger, 25, of Salisbury, was driving the Terrain. She was flown by Life Star helicopter to Hartford Hospital with serious injuries, police said. Another passenger in that vehicle, Angela Brazzale, 21, of Salisbury, was taken by ambulance to Danbury Hospital with serious injuries, police said. State police said Brazzale was wearing a seat belt, but it is not clear if Silvernail or Roger were wearing theirs.
Brian D. Hastings, 38, of Kent, was driving his Navigator north on Skiff Mountain Road when the cars crashed into each other, police said. He was flown by a second Life Star helicopter to St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. There were no passengers in his car, police said, and it was not clear if he was wearing his seat belt.
State police are still investigating the crash. They have not released information about the cause of the crash, who is at fault or whether either driver was intoxicated.
