Pickaway Township, OH : 17-year-old male serious injury in single-vehicle crash in Pickaway County on Monday, May 9, 2016
A 17-year-old male escaped serious injuries following a single-vehicle accident just before 3 p.m. Monday on Zane Trail Road just north of Morris Salem Road in Pickaway Township. According to Corporal Hunter Lane and Deputy Samantha Fearnow, Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office, Seth McDonald, 17, of Wolfe Road, Circleville, was traveling north on Zane Trail Road when he went off the right side of the road, hitting a guardrail. McDonald’s Buick Rendezvous traveled approximately 40 ft. on top of the guardrail across Scippo Creek before hitting an embankment and coming to a rest on its side 15 ft below the bridge. McDonald was transported to Berger Hospital by Pickaway Township Fire/EMS with non-life threatening injuries. The accident remains under investigation by the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.
