PELHAM, NH : 3 car crash in Pelham under investigation on Friday, 23rd September 2016
Police are investigating an accident that involved three cars and sent two people to the hospital Friday afternoon.Police said a gray Mercedes being driven by 73-year-old Sally Major of Pelham crossed the centerline and hit a Ford SUV head-on on Mammoth Road.
The Ford was being driven by Maryjo McCreedy of Lowell.
Her car was then hit by a Toyota pickup truck driven by 47-year-old Pelham man Mark Bailey.Police said he saw the crash in front of him and swerved to avoid it, but ended up hitting the driver's side rear corner of the Ford.
Major suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and she was brought to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.
McCreedy suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was brought to Lowell General Hospital. She had her grandchildren in the car, a 4-year-old and an infant, but they were properly restrained in child safety seats and were not hurt.
Police are still investigating what happened but said alcohol, drugs, and speed do not appear to be factors in the crash.
