Ruidoso, NM : Fatal motorcycle accident in Ruidoso on Sunday, September 10, 2017

A Ruidoso man died late Sunday in a motorcycle accidents in the village.

New Mexico State Police report that about 8:45 p.m., Sunday, the agency was dispatched to a motorcycle crash on Mechem Drive and Lucille Drive.

According to a report issued Monday, officers learned when they arrived at the scene that Harold Shelby, 27, of Ruidoso, was traveling west on Mechem Drive, when he lost control of his 2006 Honda motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and sustained fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene by an official with the Office of the Medical Investigator.

This crash still is under investigation with no further information available.
