Columbus, OH : West Jefferson man sustains head injury in Meijer lot crash on Tuesday afternoon, April 4, 2017

A West Jefferson man is in life-threatening condition after suffering a head injury in a crash at the Meijer parking lot on the Far West Side Tuesday afternoon, Columbus police said..

The 65-year-old man was taken to Mount Carmel West Hospital.

The man was standing in back of his parked car in the lot when another vehicle struck the front of his car, pushing it into him and knocking him down, said Detective Christopher Bailey of the Columbus Police Accident Investigation Unit.

The man’s name will be released later. The crash remains under investigation.
