AURORA, NE : 10 semi trucks involved in crash on Interstate 80 between Giltner and Aurora on Tuesday, 19th February 2019

Update: Troopers said 11 vehicles were involved in a multi-crash incident on Interstate 80 between Giltner and Aurora.

An initial call came in stating two semitrailers had crashed and jackknifed. As troopers and officers went to the scene, additional vehicles became involved in a chain-reaction crash, said Nebraska State Patrol.According to a press release, the first crash involved four semitrucks and a Jeep. Both occupants in the Jeep were transported to a hospital in Aurora.

Troopers said the passenger, Jason Palmer, 29, of Indiana, has since been life-flighted to Kearney with life-threatening injuries and the driver was released from the hospital.

One of the semitruck drivers, Jeffrey Clark, 56, from Colorado, was also transported with non-life-threatening injuries.
