New Paris, IN : One man died and four injured in head-on crash in southern Elkhart County on Wednesday morning, February 24, 2016

A head-on collision five miles south of Goshen killed one man and left four others injured on Wednesday, the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department reported.
A Honda Accord was headed south on Indiana 15 south of County Road 50 just after 11:30 a.m. when its driver lost control and the car crossed the centerline, striking a GMC Sierra, the department reported.
Christopher Swihart, 44, a passenger in the Honda, died after being rushed to IU Health Goshen Hospital, the report states. The driver of that car, Auston Masson, 19, was treated for a broken leg and cuts to his face, and two other passengers were treated for pain. The GMC’s driver, Curtis Bender, 59, was treated for a possible broken nose. Police are investigating the crash.
