A driver was injured after crashing into a light pole in northwest Charlotte Thursday morning, police say.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, the two-vehicle wreck happened on Brookshire Boulevard near the Interstate 85 exit. Police say a driver reportedly ran a red light while turning left onto I-85 southbound and crashed into a second vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle then crashed into a light pole, officers say.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the pole was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, police say.
The I-85 exit ramp onto Brookshire Boulevard was shut down for some time but has since reopened.
It is unclear whether any charges will be filed.
North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the wreck.
