State police at Stonington Tuesday night said Crystal A. Hubler, 65, of Lavelle, was the woman killed in a head-on collision Monday morning in Northumberland County.

Hubler was the driver of a passenger car that collided head-on with a tractor-trailer on Upper Road in East Cameron Township.

Two girls, 13 and 9 years old, who were passengers in Hubler's car were flown by Life Flight to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, with serious injuries. Police did not list the passengers' name. The hospital will not give out medical conditions without a patient's name.

The tractor-trailer driver, Clinton Guy Honicker, 65, of Coal Township, suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Geisinger Shamokin Community Hospital, police said.

The 10:40 a.m. crash occurred as Hubler was headed east on Upper Road and Honicker was traveling west. Hubler's vehicle crossed the double yellow line and moved into the oncoming lane, crashing into the rig, police said. Northumberland County Coroner James F. Kelley pronounced Hubler dead at the scene at 11:25 a.m. Chief Deputy Coroner James R. Gotlob assisted Kelley at the scene.

Hubler's identity was withheld until Tuesday due to family circumstances, according to Kelley.
