Montgomery, AL : Muscle Shoals 60-year-old dies in Saturday crash near Tuscumbia on Saturday, February 25th 2017

A crash on Saturday afternoon left a Muscle Shoals woman dead.

According to Senior Trooper Johnathan Appling, Lucy I. Garard was driving a 2001 Ford Explorer when the car left the road and overturned.

Garard was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene. Appling said she was not using a seat belt.

Garard was 60 years old.

The crash happened at 1:30 p.m. yesterday on J McGee Road, 10 miles west of Tuscumbia. Alabama State Troopers are investigating the incident.
