Boston, MA : Pennsylvania man, 42, dies after Danvers job site accident on Tuesday, 1st May 2018

A Pennyslvania man died after sustaining serious injuries at a job site in Danvers yesterday, authorities said.

The identity of the 42-year-old man from Pottstown, Pa., was not released.

The man was a subcontractor working at ITW Devcon, an adhesives manufacturer on Endicott Street in Danvers, according to Carrie Kimball-Monahan, spokeswoman for the Essex District Attorney’s Office.

He was there fixing a piece of equipment shortly after 8:30 a.m. when “part of the equipment fell on him, causing catastrophic injuries,” Kimball-Monahan said.

Federal authorities with OSHA were investigating, Kimball-Monahan said.
