Boise, ID : Coroner identifies motorcyclist who died in late-night crash on Thursday, June 22, 2017
Jack Lee Montgomery, 63, of Boise died after he reportedly crossed the center line and hit a Ford Focus head-on, the Ada County Coroner’s Office and Idaho State Police said in a news release.
Montgomery was the third motorcyclist to die this week in a Treasure Valley crash, and a fourth fatal happened on Cole Road about 8 a.m. Thursday. He died of blunt force trauma, the coroner’s office said. ISP reports he was not wearing a helmet.
The eastbound Harley Davidson crossed into the westbound lanes of State Street near Sycamore Drive shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday, ISP reports.
Montgomery was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead about a half-hour later, according to a coroner’s office news release.
The driver of the Ford, 18-year-old Tyler Kasuba of Meridian, was not taken to a hospital, ISP reports.
Investigation into the crash continues.
