Temple hills,MD : 61-year-old Charlie Viverett killed and officer injured after also suspect fleeing police crashed into his car on Thursday ,March 19th 2015

Prince George's County Police held a news conference Friday afternoon to announce that a 22-year-old man from Southeast D.C. is now off the roads, but not before he allegedly left a trail of misery and devastation behind that included injuring an officer and killing an innocent driver.

Shocked and saddened neighbors paid their respects at the Clinton home of 61-year-old Charlie Viverett. His life unexpectedly ended Thursday when a suspect fleeing police crashed into his car.

“Very nice guy-- very nice. We talked to each other quite a bit and I saw it on the news so I stopped everything and ran up here to offer my condolences to his wife,” said neighbor Orville Jennings.

Prince Georges County Police say it started at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday when an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 3600 block of Branch Avenue. During that stop, police say Larry Donnell Hinson, who was already on probation for armed carjacking, sped off, hitting and injuring an officer.
