EUGENE, OR : Man accused in Eugene hit-and-run crash on Tuesday, 26th June 2018

The driver accused of leaving the scene of a crash after hitting a motorcycle and injuring the rider has surrendered to Eugene police.

The Register-Guard reports 41-year-old Taj Lemieux of New Pine Creek was arrested Tuesday after turning himself in.

Police say an SUV struck the motorcycle earlier this month in Eugene and then fled from the scene.

Police say Lemieux was identified by an anonymous tipster last week who saw surveillance photos of the suspect distributed by authorities.
