OAKLAND, CA : East Oakland traffic collision kills woman, injures two other people at the intersection of 98th Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard on Sunday, 26th April, 2020

A woman was killed and two other people badly injured in a two-vehicle traffic collision early Sunday in East Oakland, police said.

The collision happened about 3:36 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of 98th Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard. The woman killed was a passenger in a Honda sedan that collided with a Nissan van and was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

The woman’s name has not been released, but police said she could be in her 20s.

The vehicles’ drivers each suffered major injuries and were taken to a hospital where they were in critical but stable condition, authorities said.


Police are trying to determine in which direction the vehicles were going when they collided and what caused them to crash.
