Lubbock,TX : Police investigating major 3-vehicle crash in North Lubbock on Tuesday, 8th May 2018

The Lubbock Police Accident Investigators team were investigating a major crash involving multiple vehicles on Clovis Highway and Auburn Street on Tuesday morning.

At approximately 8:20 a.m., officers were called to a three-vehicle crash, according to police.

Through the initial investigation, it appears a vehicle was driving eastbound on Clovis Road and veered into the westbound lane colliding with a vehicle, said LPD spokeswoman Kasie Whitley. Following that collision, a third vehicle was then hit.

The driver of the vehicle headed eastbound was taken to University Medical Center by EMS with life-threatening injuries, said Whitley.

All lanes of Clovis Road were shut down between Avenue U and Vernon Street during the investigation, which lasted until noon.
