HAZELTON, ID : 3 Mini-Cassia residents injured in I-84 crash in Jerome County on Thursday, 29th March 2018

Three Mini-Cassia residents were transported to hospitals Thursday after a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 84 east in Jerome County.

Idaho State Police investigated the crash near milepost 199, west of the Kosata Road exit, around 12:20 p.m. The left lane of the highway was blocked for about two hours.

Brian J. Carter, 41, of Burley, was driving a 2013 Fiat 500. Diane F. Allen, 76, of Rupert was driving a 2015 Ford Edge. Carter and Allen were both traveling east on I-84 when Carter attempted to pass Allen in the right lane, ISP said in a statement.

Carter didn’t compete the pass and struck Allen’s vehicle. His vehicle continued into the median, rolled and came to rest in the left lane. Allen’s vehicle came to rest in the median.
