CLERMONT COUNTY, OH : Motorcycle driver dies in I-275 crash on Saturday, 26th September, 2020

Clermont County and the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a motorcycle crash that left one person dead Saturday evening.

OSP said the crash occurred around 6:45 p.m. in Miami Township as the motorcycle was exiting to Wards Corner Road from Southbound I-275.

Officials said 51-year-old Richard Wheeler II from Cincinnati drove the motorcycle off the left side of the road before he hit a traffic sign post.

Wheeler was transported by Miami Township EMS to Bethesda North Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

OSP said Wheeler was not wearing a helmet or protective gear at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol-Batavia Post.
