Kingsport,TN : Kingsport man died in I-81 motorcycle wreck on may, tuesday 9th 2017

According to police records, a city man was killed late Tuesday night when he lost control of his motorcycle on Interstate 81.The incident occurred at approximately 11 p.m. in the southbound lanes at mile marker 60.6. According to a Kingsport Police Department crash report, the rider, Kenneth Carson Roller II, 49, lost control "for unknown reasons" while in open traffic.

He was thrown from the motorcycle, a Big Dog custom. Records indicate the motorcycle struck the inside guardrail. Roller was wearing a helmet.

There was reportedly a witness to the wreck. KPD crash reconstructionists responded to probe the incident and an investigation is continuing.

Traffic was diverted to the shoulder for several hours following the crash, allowing for a thorough investigation and removal of the decedent and debris.
