WEST BRANCH, IA : I-80 westbound near West Branch now reopened after crash on Tuesday, 16th April 2024

The Iowa DOT is reporting that a crash has blocked part of I-80 westbound.

Officials say the crash occurred Between Exit 259: County Road X40 and Exit 254: County Road X30 (near West Branch). As of 5:15 pm, officials say that roadway is still blocked off.

Details on the crash are not confirmed, but DOT camera images show a Semi appears to have been jack-knifed in the crash.

Travelers are advised to find an alternate route at this time.
