Lebanon, MO : A Waynesville man died in a traffic accident on February, Saturday 3rd 2018
A Waynesville man died in a traffic accident Saturday morning after driving wrong way on eastbound I-44 near mile marker 134.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred when a 2017 Volvo Tractor Trailer attempted to pass a 2018 Kenworth Tractor Trailer and struck a 2002 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Jarrett L. Crowley, 37, of Waynesville, which was traveling the wrong way on the interstate. The Volvo Tractor Trailer then traveled off the road after striking Crowley’s vehicle head on. The Kenworth Tractor Trailer was struck by debris and stopped on the shoulder.
Jarrett Crowley was pronounced dead at the scene by Laclede County Coroner Steve Murrell. Next of kin have been notified. Crowley was taken to Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon.
The Highway Patrol was assisted at thew scene by the Laclede County Sheriff’s Department.
