One person was taken to a Syracuse hospital Sunday night after a car crashed into a vacant building in the village Parish, Oswego County 911 dispatchers said.Someone called 911 at 7:21 p.m. to report the crash at the intersection of East Main and Rider streets.
State police, Parish volunteer firefighters and Menter ambulance crews responded.
Menter transported one person to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse after the crash, according to 911 officials.
Witnesses said a white car crashed into the former Masonic Temple, a brick building at 2942 E. Main St. (also known as state Route 69). The freemasons no longer own the building; property records show Michael Rock is the current owner. Dispatchers said they were told the building is currently vacant.
State Route 69 in the village was closed to traffic after the crash.
No other information was immediately available about the crash Sunday night.
