Eyota, MN : Fergus Falls woman injured in crash in Eyota Monday afternoon, September 12, 2016

A Fergus Falls woman was injured Monday afternoon when the car she was in was rear-ended on Minnesota State Highway 42 at Second Street West in Eyota.

The State Patrol said Ruth E. Picketts, 44, was in a car being driven south by Ely A. Picketts, 18, of Eyota when the driver slowed to make a left-hand turn. The car was hit from behind by a car driven by a 16-year-old; the patrol did not identify that driver.

Ruth Picketts was taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital–Saint Marys Campus in Rochester. She is not listed as a patient there today, according to a clinic spokeswoman.

The drivers and a passenger in the second car had no apparent injuries, the patrol said.

The crash was reported at 3:28 p.m.
