Washington, VT : Vermont man killed when utility vehicle crashes into woods on Saturday, Nov 7, 2015

Vermont State Police say a man driving a utility vehicle crashed in some woods, was thrown from the driver's seat and died.

Police say the accident happened about 12:45 p.m. Saturday in the town of Washington. They say 66-year-old Craige Chaffee, of Bradford, was apparently trying to turn the vehicle around when he stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake.

State police say the vehicle hit two trees continued up the trees then landed on the ground.
