Wells, NV :Two die in I-80 crash in Wells; child survives on Sunday, July 5th 2015
Around 1:10 a.m. Sunday, Nevada Highway Patrol troopers responded to a vehicle crash on Interstate 80 near Wells, according to a report from NHP.Richard Beaumont, 38, from Logan, Utah, was driving a 1995 Ford Explorer over the Wells overpass with passengers Dawha Loughney, 20, from Logan and a 1-year-old girl.A preliminary investigation revealed the Ford Explorer drifted towards the left road edge and hit a guardrail, whereupon Beaumont steered toward the right and crossed two lanes. He then overcorrected to the left, causing it to overturn, the report said.Beaumont and Loughney were ejected from the car and sustained fatal injuries. According to the report, they were not wearing seatbelts.The third passenger, a 1-year-old girl, was also ejected from the car. She was not secured in the child safety seat which was found in the dirt on the right shoulder, the report said. The girl was reported to have no injuries and was released to the Department of Child Family Services.
