Grand Island, NE : One transported following three-vehicle accident on Sunday, March 12th 2017

One person was transported to CHI Health St. Francis with unknown injuries following a three-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Ashton and Oak Streets around 4 p.m. Sunday. The vehicles involved were a green Honda Accord, a silver Saab and a white Dodge Ram 4x4.

Shift Commander Bryan Stutzman said firefighters had to pry the door of the Honda Accord open to rescue the person from the vehicle.

The accident is currently under investigation.
