Chattanooga, TN : A school bus in Cohutta crash on May, Thursday, 11th 2017
A school bus in Cohutta crashed Thursday afternoon after a car collided with its rear bumper.
A spokesperson for Georgia State Patrol confirmed there were eight children from Cohutta Elementary School on board. The children were all sitting in the first three rows of the bus and suffered no injuries. They were transferred to another bus and taken home.
The driver of the car suffered a seatbelt burn. No other injuries were reported.
The crash happened just before 3 p.m. on the 4300 block of Cohutta Varnell Road. The driver of the car over corrected after coming around a curve, causing the front of the car to hit the back bumper of the bus. The car overturned into a ditch.
